Scott Blomberg, MBA

Scott Blomberg, MBA has worked in the medical products field since 1990.  He advises companies on a wide variety of topics including regulatory compliance, quality systems, technology development, design controls, supplier selection, competitive landscape and global medical product commercialization.  Scott is an AAMI certified lead auditor of quality systems for both MDSAP and ISO 13485.

Previously he worked in numerous medical industry roles including President and CEO at LifeHealth, (point of care in vitro diagnostics), head of product development at Nonin Medical (pulse oximetry), design services director at Spartronics (contract manufacturing and design), and senior scientist at Diametrics Medical (point of care IVD).

Mr. Blomberg studied physics at Gustavus Adolphus College and serves as a judge for their business plan competition, the Gustie Entrepreneur Cup.  Mr. Blomberg also studied business administration at St. Thomas University.  He is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the Medical Alley Trade Association.

Mr. Blomberg has led medical technology development efforts from a variety of technical and management roles.  His accomplishments include development and full worldwide commercialization of dozens of products for a variety of clinical applications.  Mr. Blomberg is the inventor of nine US patents and numerous international patents.
